As most people in the retail industry do, I try to keep up with what other retailers are offering to make sure that we remain competitive. To that end – I received an email a few days ago from another online retailer who claimed that they had the lowest prices online for a quilt that we also carried. To make a long story short, I clicked through to their website and started doing research. I found that they do offer the same quilt as what we offer and to my surprise it was only about $5.00 more than ours. This is surprising because we are normally a good bit less than our competition, so I was a little shocked to see that they were so close to us. And then I got to the accessories – the pillow shams, euro shams, accent pillows, dust ruffles, etc…WOW. We literally blew them away on their prices. I’m not talking $5-$10 – I’m talking about $50 or more for a bedding set. In this economy that is nothing to sneeze at. OK, enough of that story (but I just had to write it)…the quilt in question was a quilt from C&F Enterprises. It’s not a new quilt, however, we have just recently added it to our website. In the short time that we have carried the quilt though it has skyrocketed to one of our top 20 patterns – in a matter of about a month. The name of the quilt is Koren and it features a dark chocolate background with a floral pattern on it. It really is a beautiful quilt. Many of the accessories for this quilt (and the reverse side of the quilt itself) have a multi-brown striped pattern which really sets this quilt off. Here’s a picture:

I’m writing this to answer and explain one of the most common questions that I get: “What size Tervis Tumbler should I buy?” I think that I get this question so often because of a number of different reasons. Number one is that Tervis Tumbler’s make great gifts. Because of that, you’re often times not buying for yourself but for someone else – possibly even someone who you don’t know that well. Number two is that you’re new to the world of Tervis and you just want to know what the differences are and why there are so many choices. And finally the third reason why I think I get this question so often is because you want to make sure that you’re getting the best value. Let’s face it, Tervis Tumblers aren’t cheap (even at our prices which are the absolute lowest around). You want to make sure that you’re getting something that you can actually use.

I’ll provide my answers below…the way that I’ve set this up is that I will have three columns. In the first column I will show you a picture of the size that I’m talking about. The second column will give the Pro’s of that size and the third column will give the Con’s. Here we go…
